What’s Hot? Five exciting talent trends for the month of May
We’re back with another summary of our most exciting projects this month – including some opportunities that are just too hot to advertise. Here’s what’s happening at tfconnect in May – for more, take a look at what’s on the job board.
How well do you know the Chinese Market?
Playing in China’s top-tier exhibition cities – Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai is both challenging and rewarding. It’s a competitive region with plenty of venue investment and China’s own State Council playing a big part in shaping the exhibition landscape.
It’s no surprise then that UK-based organisers operating in the region are keen to ensure that their Chinese portfolio(s) are being operated by someone with plenty of experience in negotiating China’s exhibition scene.
Possibilities for Sun-Seekers in Australia
If you prefer somewhere a little warmer than sunny Scotland, tfconnect are currently talent seeking for some opportunities down-under – specifically in Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
While not all firm positions, we’re looking to speak to Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, Event Managers, Event Directors and Portfolio Directors etc. – with exhibitions experience, who might be interested in moving to the region.
If you’re interested in having a conversation or just putting yourself on our radar, drop us an email and we’ll get back to you faster than you can say, “Boomerang”.
Start Your Engines!
For avid motoring fans – there are some fantastic opportunities on our job board for consumer-shows in the automotive sector. It could be your dream job if you’re a passionate petrol-head (or even if you’re not!) and have a strong background in either exhibition / media sales or consumer-exhibition marketing.
The business is a great one to work for and the shows are generating a huge buzz at the moment – it’s worth getting you in there quick if you’re interested.
Are you on the list to receive speculative talent?
We’re currently working with many strong individuals with track-records in ownership, launch and acquisition of large-scale events.
Some of the world’s largest organisers and venues have agreed to see CVs from us on a speculative basis, trusting in the quality and stringency of our qualification process. However, there are still businesses out there that don’t yet enjoy this ‘first refusal’ opportunity and therefore miss out on candidates that could be a perfect match for their short or long-term growth strategy.
If you’re interested in seeing high-quality talent on a speculative basis – drop us an email or give us a call on +44(0)1442 818 005 for a better understanding of how this works.
A mammoth update to our website is on the way – we’ve been working hard to make sure that it’s easy to keep your CV up-to-date with us, browse our roles, apply for positions and see the right content. Watch this space…
That’s all for now!
