UFI’s ‘Next Generation Leadership’ Grant throws a spotlight on future top-talent in the events industry
As a topic, looking at the ‘future leaders’ of the exhibition industry is certainly hotter than hot at the moment!
Last week, UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, announced a new initiative aimed at bringing together highly-talented exhibition professionals to define their vision on where we’re heading as an industry. This will effectively put a huge spotlight on some potential ‘upcoming’ players in the events world.
Supported by funding from Reed Exhibitions, five exhibition professionals will get the opportunity to join an exclusive workshop at UFI’s headquarters in Paris. The results will then be delivered at UFI’s annual Congress, Shanghai in November 2016 to an anticipated audience of 600 leading exhibition professionals from all over the world.
Candidates are asked to submit a text and video presentation with their ideas and initiatives for driving the events industry forward, as well as their motivation for working in the industry and for making the grant application. Successful applicants will be selected by a panel of industry leaders, including UFI President, Sergej Alexeev.
The entry criteria for applicants are as follows:
Must be actively employed full-time in the exhibition industry;
Must not have more than ten years of work experience in the exhibition industry;
Must be able to drive the project in addition to their daily responsibilities at work;
Must be available for both: a two-day working group meeting on 13-14 June 2016 in Paris; and the 83rd UFI Congress from 9-12 November 2016 in Shanghai;
Good luck to all applicants!
